Do entry hazards stack?

Post by Porou on Thu Aug 19, 2010 8:33 am

So I was building a competitive team, and Smogon reccomended that two of my Pokemon have Stealth Rock in their movesets. I was curious, if I replaced one Stealth Rock with Spikes, would the entry hazards stack and give both damages to switch-ins?

With mine, I have 1 pokemon with stealth rock and another with spikes. It's helpful, but just to lket you knw spikes does not damage pokemon with the levitate ability or a flying type, but Stealth Rock hits everything. It doesnt stack up to go high enough to hit everything hahaha. You can lay a maximum of 3 layers of spikes for 1/4 damage for evry pokemon that comes in that isnt a flying type or a levitating pokemon. You can lay a maximum of 2 layers of toxic spikes and with 1 layer of toxic spikes only poisons the pokemon with just an equivalent amount of damage every turn but with 2 layers of toxic spikes, the pokemon tht switches in will get badly poisoned which means tha the damage worsens every turn. Hope I helped! Smile

It did, in a sort of indirect way. But I really appreciate the info, I was planning on going into battle and setting up one layer of spikes and expecting like one fifth damage lol. Thanks!
